Anounce forum PLEASE!

I am sick'n tired over the tsg spam mail in my inbox, the pm feature is for private message's, i allready hang here so it's not me that you should concentrate to get the eyes open for TSG packages.

Think outside the (pm) box, get an anounce forum and concentrate your marketing to people that doesent know about the tsg homepage.

I'm probably not alone about this.

The problem is we cannot filter out who we send a mass private message to. The plug-in for that feature allows us to send a mass PM to everyone. Otherwise I would have to restrict your account to not receive PM's from admin.

I wouldn't call it spam, I don't even average 1 message per day. Moreover, we have almost 500 registered members here, only about 150 who are regular visitors; we need to communicate with the others. And for the record, we're reaching out to bring in new people with advertising and other promotional activities.

I strongly agree - It is very annoying recieving the same "promotions" in our emails / and pm inboxes

Also if there are 500 members and only 150 active ones - do you not think only using emails would be more effective, considering 350 (70%) users do not come to this site ?

I can set your account so that you don't receive any emails and/or PM's from admins. The problem with that is you might miss something that you really don't want to miss.

Also, the problem with just using email is that people change their email address more often than you might think. So we get a lot of returned emails but if they login to their account they will see the PM.

Considering I send out about 1-2 emails/PM's per week at the most, I don't think it's overwhelming. But if you want me to turn that feature off for your account I'm happy to do so, just send me a PM and let me know (LOL).

OK problem solved. We are using Constant Contact as our Email management program and it gives you the ability to "Unsubscribe" from our mailing list.

Glad we found a resolution that works for everyone!
